A surprise to "Share Handmade Kindness"

Posted by Monica Collins at

Some of you may know that I love to papercraft in my spare time. During the course of last year I discovered Jennifer McGuire's YouTube channel and blog and became an avid follower. Her videos are so clear for newbies, her tips are easy to implement and bring great results, even for those just testing the waters.

During the course of November 2015, she challenged the community to participate in her Share Handmade Kindness campaign. Being that November is one of the busiest months for me and TG Bears and anything cardmaking still needed my undivided attention and longer time than the average person, I was not able to participate. But I decided that one thing I could do was make a teddy bear and you know that the ones at TG Bears meet the "handmade" requirement of Jennifer's campaign. And so Jennifer Bear came into being and was entrusted to USPS as a surprise.

I do think the surprise was successful, given Jennifer's Instagram post

If you love anything with cardmaking or stamping techniques, be sure to add Jennifer's tips to your go to resources.

  • Oh my gosh Monica, that is so awesome. You have such a big heart and lots of talent to go with it. I can only imagine what those two sweeties think of the bear. I am an adult and I absolutely LOVE mine. Thank you so much for sharing.
