This is Sarah Bear. She is another important member of the TG Bears Charity Bear line-up and with her very presence makes an important awareness statement. She is promoting awareness for and of Chiari Malformations and Syringomyelia.

 

These are also classified as rare diseases. While the conditions are not well known, they have devastating effects on those suffering with them. Chiari Malformations are abnormalities of the lower part of the brain. This manifests in headaches, vision disturbances and other symptoms. Syringomyelia is when the cerebrospinal fluid enters the spinal cord, forming a cavity.

 

Sarah Bear is 16 inches tall, has jointed arms and legs and safety eyes, nose and joints. Her purple fur is incredibly soft and is accented by the turquoise. She also wears a sheer scarf, adding a little whimsy to her.
